Relais Todini

Relais Todini is simply one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The main reason for this was the extremely helpful and friendly staff who couldn't do enough for you. The food was fantastic and I'm not ashamed to say I may have over indulged at the included breakfast. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet getaway for a few days

We stayed at Relais Todini for four nights for a friends wedding in the local area. We were blown away and had the most wonderful time. The staff were excellent, informative and attentive but laid back - in a good way. The food was excellent and my god, the view! My only criticism was that the mattress in our room was probably due replacement as there were two very clearly defined groves through use. I didn't actually bring this up with the staff but perhaps I should have. Leo Wild was a lovely addition for us to explore after check out before flying home.

Let's start simply: after a lifetime of travel, domestic and foreign, including "luxury" travel and 5 prior vacations in Italy, Relais Todini is the most wonderful place we have ever stayed. Utterly sublime; 360-degree panoramic splendor, impeccably appointed, spotless, gracious, warm, sumptuous; the quintessence of hospitality. The owner greeted us warmly, personally carried our luggage up to our top floor suite (well worth the upgrade -- all 12 rooms are delightful, the extra room w/ the suite was so very nice for a long stay as we enjoyed -- we could spread out very comfortably and enjoy different places to sit, write, read, gaze out, etc.) and daily inquired politely and unobtrusively if we needed anything, guided us to off-the-path Umbrian locales, etc. The restaurant, swimming pool, grounds, lobby areas, wine selection ... everything was superb from singing birds to awaken, through fabulous buffet breakfast, on through happy hour on the deck and dinner to top it off. If you don't love Relais Todini, you've got a problem. We will back!

A delicious soggiorno : charm and gastronomy! Good prices… Excellent wines from the house … very calm and peaceful setting with great views on the hills . Spotless bedrooms and bathrooms, not very big but the pleasant calm and elegant common rooms compensate that lack of space. A tennis , a lovely pool , great service… The internet is excellent all around the place. I will recommend the restaurant: excellent (even for an ex Parisian!) and very reasonable prices. Visit the winery and buy wines if you can …

After four days at the Relais all I can say is that I didnt want to leave. It's a wonderful spot, the location is perfect with ludicrous 270 degree views of the beautiful Umbrian countryside, the food is great (breakfast, lunch and dinner) the staff were helpful and welcoming and the rooms were high quality and very well maintained. It's not a 200 room hotel, so some of the services are slightly rough around the edges when compared to staying in a huge hotel but the overall quality is great and the personalised welcome and touch makes it infinitely nicer than staying in your average large hotel.
